Electric Squid is new-ish. The mileage isn’t. This story started nearly thirty years ago, when websites were built by hand and nobody was entirely sure what they were supposed to do yet.
Since then, we’ve made digital things for small businesses, enormous companies and plenty of wonderfully strange organizations in between. Some reached thousands of people. Others reached tens-of-millions. Every one of them taught us something—usually the hard way.
Mostly, we learned that the bigger the machine gets, the easier it is to forget the person using it. So we got good at cutting through noise, asking better questions and building systems that help people move without turning every project into a committee meeting with buttons. AI is simply the newest tool in the box. Useful, fast and occasionally weird. It fits right in.
Electric Squid is what happens when you keep the experience, scars and good stories—but leave behind the layers, theater and unnecessary nonsense.
Small on purpose. Senior by default. Still curious enough to poke the thing everyone else was told not to touch.
